The ambience is awesome. Medieval and rustic. Very cozy. The food is great, very delicious. The hosts are very nice and personable and the service is super friendly and competent. All in all, we had a nice, enjoyable evening. Thank you.

I don't recommend it either. The schnitzels were not fresh i.e. Totally flat breading and the taste was musty. There was also thick onion ends as a garnish. After we had eaten, we had to wait forever for the waitress to pay. Actually we would have liked to have had a drink! But then the apology came immediately, I'm sorry that it wasn't that good for you today ... By the way, Viennese schnitzel are probably made fresh according to the service ;-)

Actually we just wanted to have a drink. We then tied at the sight of the dishes we carried past. We have not regretted it which everything was delicious, great service. Everything is very consistent, we'd love to come back again.

The old town of Steinheim - a wonderful backdrop. You sit wonderfully. And: For me there is the best hand cheese here. Thanks to the Lug-ins-Land team for a great evening.

I do not recommend it. I had to wait 1 hour to order the food and then 1 hour to get the food. The prices are not at all too small portions for such an overpriced price. The waiters are also very disorganized. In my opinion, there should either be more staff or fewer tables, as there were only 2 waiters and they couldn't even come after them.

The food was a long time coming. My corn chicken salad was quite good in taste, but rather carelessly presented. The whole, uncut lettuce leaves, piled up in a heap, were particularly unsightly. The chicken breast was fried quite well, but could have been seasoned more elaborately: fresh herbs, fennel seeds, coriander ... - not just salt and pepper. This is much better with minimal additional effort, colleagues.

We spontaneously used the nice weather and drank a grape juice spritzer on the sun terrace. After the food on the menu sounded really tempting, there was also cooked cheese and breaded hand cheese. Both very delicious, especially the bread with the side dish! You also sit very nicely outside. I can only recommend it.

Extremely cozy restaurant with very friendly staff. I celebrated my birthday there with my daughter. We had an excellent meal - frankfurter schnitzel with green sauce - and I had a good wine with it. My conclusion: highly recommended.

One of the best restaurants in town

Very nice location, in which we have returned in the past after our walks on the Main already several times for a refreshment. This time to eat - and we were not disappointed. It was delicious and the value for money is absolutely fine. The service is super nice and very attentive. We certainly were not there for the last time. (It is well to reserve, since the tables were always occupied quite quickly.)

It was a very nice evening with colleagues. The food tasted very good. The drinks brought quickly and the staff very polite and always approachable. I highly recommend the restaurant. 👍

Wonderfully accommodating and friendly staff with phenomenal food.

I'm from Baltimore, in the USA but I travel for my business and I eat at restaurants all over the world. Lug Ins Land is my all time favorite restaurant, anywhere. I ate there again tonight and had the best steak I have ever eaten Ever. Period. I made another reservation for tomorrow night. I don't usually eat soup but the pumpkin soup was nothing short of amazing. You cannot find a finer example at any restaurant for any price. Speaking of prices, you need not be afraid. Just prepare to be delighted and charmed by this humble family run business. You can see the tower from the castle Steinheim from their door. Stepping inside, the decor is quaint, fascinating and whispers tales of the old town's rich history. The father prepares the food, while mother waits tables with help from their their incredibly polite teenage son. The menu is traditional Hesse but the quality of cuisine is in a class by itself. If you go, be sure to give yourself enough time to savor every bite. Seriously. Reservations - They try to fit in walk-ins but it seems to be getting harder to get a seat without reservations during peak hours. I've tried a few times and now I either call ahead and/or come early. You will not be disappointed.

I stopped by to get dinner here since I heard good things about this restaurant. And I asked if they have any table available for one person and obviously they had few but they looked at each other and they she said No, you had to make reservation. So I asked my friends who tried that place and they said they never made reservations. I think they are very racist and judgmental ppl. There are many other fine restaurants in the area which you can try. Simply don’t go there if you are not local or deal with their behavior!!!!

Excellent food, service, atmosphere...everything! A very enjoyable Friday night experience at this quaint location. The wait staff, owner and owner’s son are all very attentive and the dining experience was superb. Ordering from the Deutsche menu can be a challenge, though they have an English version, but I find it as part of the charm and experience of becoming as ‘local’ as possible. All the others in the outdoor Biergarten were equally happy to be here and were enjoying a very relaxing dining experience. Can’t say enough good things to say about this establishment. Like the old marketing saying goes: “Try it you’ll like it!”

Very nice place, excellent food, and kind staff. The prices are ok. A good place to go either only to drink, or to go with your family.

We had our son to decide which restaurant to go and his was an excellent decision. Really nice atmosphere with timber wood from a house dated back about 300 years and love for details. the food is really yummy especially the "Käsespätzle" a cheese noddle dish served in a hot pan. Good "Apfelwein" and not to expensive, due to the quality. Friendly and fast Service. The toilets are clean, even though there could be little silicon work done. You want regret going, check the photos. Bon appétit!

Superb 'Aldstadt' ambience is to be enjoyed in this delightful little restaurant. Recently under new management, the food was fresh, beautifully cooked, generous in proportion and served by helpful attentive staff.
